AWARDS consists of Thesis Sahib (James Kirkpatrick) on vocals, some time instrumental (Gameboy, song composition and sounds) and Michel Funken (pronounced FOON-KIN, instrumentalist and back up vocalist). The two have a long standing history in the indie/experimental rap scene since the early 2000’s with multiple solo releases as well as collaborative projects together and with an extended family of hip hop archetypes in North America, Europe and Japan. This new project moves further into the post-rap, art rap, art pop, new wave, intellectual disco genre that the pair have created in the past.
